In-Patient Center for Patients with Kidney Disease
The Newest Hemodialysis Center in the Philippines
Motion Plus International Medical is a new and modern hemodialysis center in Lipa City, Batangas, which will begin operations after August 2023. Our in-patient center has more hemodialysis machines than most clinics in the Philippines, so getting a consultation or treatment is much easier.
As we open our doors to the public, we plan to have a lower patient-to-attendant ratio. We are currently hiring more employees to assist our patients with kidney disease and working with the city government and corporate sponsors to reduce treatment prices.

What We Offer
- In addition to the hemodialysis treatments, we offer patient education consultations on general nutrition, living well and comfortably with kidney disease, and various treatment options. We also have other resources at the center, such as information about chronic kidney disease and ways to prolong kidney function.
- Our in-house nephrologist can give you prescriptions and recommendations on the next steps after the treatment. At other times, other specialist doctors will be around for consultation on other areas of health. We are easily accessible through our online channels, like emails, phone numbers, and message forms, so you do not need to leave your house for questions or appointment requests.

Hemodialysis and What to Expect
When is dialysis needed?
You need dialysis if your kidneys no longer remove enough waste and fluid from your blood to keep you healthy. This usually happens when only 10 to 15 percent of your kidney function is left. You may have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, swelling, and fatigue. However, even if you don't have these symptoms yet, you can still have a high level of waste in your blood that may be toxic to your body. Your doctor is the best person to tell you when to start dialysis.
How does hemodialysis work?
Hemodialysis is a procedure where a dialysis machine and a special filter called an artificial kidney, or a dialyzer, clean your blood. To get your blood into the dialyzer, the doctor needs to make an access, or entrance, into your blood vessels. This is done with minor surgery, usually to your arm.

Information on Nutrition for Patients
Do I need to eat a special diet?
Yes. Generally speaking, patients on dialysis are advised to increase their protein intake and limit the amounts of potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and fluid in their diet. Patients with diabetes or other health conditions may have additional diet restrictions. It's important to talk with your dietitian about your individual dietary needs. Your dialysis care team will monitor your treatment with monthly lab tests to ensure you get the right amount of dialysis and you meet your nutritional goals.
Can dialysis cure my kidney disease?
In some cases of sudden or acute kidney failure, dialysis may only be needed briefly until the kidneys get better. However, when chronic kidney disease progresses to kidney failure over time, your kidneys do not get better, and you will need dialysis for the rest of your life unless you can receive a kidney transplant.
